Doug Baum, MS
Vice President, Global Corporate Development

Mr. Baum has more than 15 years of experience in business development and operational positions in the drug development industry. In his current role, he has global responsibility for sales, marketing, partnership management, communications, strategic planning, and proposals for Premier Research. Mr. Baum began his career at SCIREX as Director of Business Development, responsible for building and maintaining client relationships. Mr. Baum also has significant operational experience including serving as the commercial head for the Research Centers. In addition, he served as Director of Clinical Research and the company's first Program Director responsible for a 22-study, full service, multi-year Phase 1–3 development program which led to the product being approved in the United States and Europe. Mr. Baum has authored and/or presented study results from more than 15 clinical trials at various therapeutic meetings in the United States and Europe and has extensive strategic and business development experience across a wide range of pharmacologic classes and therapeutic areas. Mr. Baum obtained his bachelor's of business administration (BBA) degree and master's of science in technology commercialization degree from the University of Texas at Austin.  Mr. Baum began his career in an international position living and working in Japan.
