Vice President, Clinical Development - North America
For the past 15 years, Krista Armstrong has held positions of increasing responsibility in clinical operations at Premier Research and is currently responsible for managing the company’s North American operations. Krista’s clinical research experience includes more than 18 years and encompasses both academia and the pharmaceutical industry. At Premier Research, Krista led the harmonization and integration of six acquisitions that lead to the growth of the clinical operations department from 60 to more than 500 employees. She has developed SOPs, processes and implementation plans for a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) that supports streamlined and efficient clinical trial management. In addition, she was responsible for creating the CRA Training and Quality Management program for the company. While in academic research, her research focused in the area of degenerative disorders and included managing studies as an investigative site that generated data which supported the ultimate approvals of donepezil, tacrine, levodopa, entacaprone and interferon beta 1a products. Dr. Armstrong received her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Florida.
