Vice President, Analgesia
Michael Kuss has been with Premier Research since 2001 and is currently responsible for the company’s analgesia franchise including the strategic, commercial, organizational and financial aspects of the Clinical Research Centers. Prior to joining Premier Research, Mr. Kuss worked at Pharmacia (formerly Monsanto and G.D. Searle) where he was responsible for clinical development of several COX-2 inhibitors (celecoxib, valdecoxib and parecoxib) and NSAIDs (oxaprozin, oxaprozin potassium, diclofenac/misoprostol) as part of the Arthritis, Inflammation and Pain team. He also was a key member of the team that developed a quinolone antibacterial licensed from Hokuriku Seiyaku. Prior to G.D. Searle, Mr. Kuss worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Abbott Laboratories. While working as an Infectious Diseases Research Technologist at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, he started his pharmaceutical career as a study coordinator for Infectious Diseases studies as well as having a Clinical Instructor appointment at the Wright State University School of Medicine. Michael graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a BS in Medical Technology.
