Dr. Sant'Anna was raised in Boston, MA, where she obtained her BS from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In 1993, she received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. Afterwards, she completed her residency in podiatric medicine and surgery in Southern California. Dr. Sant'Anna is Board Certified in surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Sant'Anna has experience in all aspects of foot care including bunions and hammertoes, fractures/trauma, sports injuries/sprains, ingrown and fungus toenails, neuromas, heel and arch pain, diabetic foot care and dermatological problems. She is very active in clinical research, specifically research studies of investigational pain medication following bunion removal and has been involved in the conduct of more than 25 clinical studies.
